SENIOR LEGAL ADMINISTRATION OFFICER

 

REMUNERATION: R586,956 to R1,386,972 annually, based on the OSD framework. The appointed individual will be required to enter into a performance contract.

  • An LLB qualification
  • A minimum of 8 years’ relevant legal experience after qualification

LAW RESEARCHER

 

SALARY: R468,459 to R551,823 per year (Level 09). The selected candidate will be required to sign a performance agreement.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Grade 12 certificate
  • LLB degree or equivalent four-year recognized legal qualification
  • At least three (3) years of relevant legal experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in legal research
  • Good understanding of both domestic and international legal databases
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license is an advantage
  • An LLM degree is also considered beneficial

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Matric certificate plus a three-year National Diploma in Legal Interpreting Science or a related qualification at NQF Level 6 (360 credits) recognized by SAQA, with at least two years of practical experience in court interpreting
  • Alternatively, Matric certificate with ten years of practical experience in court interpreting
  • Fluency in English and proficiency in two or more indigenous languages is advantageous
  • Holding a valid driver’s license is preferable
  • Candidates must successfully complete oral and written language proficiency assessments

  • Type and format draft memoranda, decisions, opinions, or judgments as assigned

LABOUR RELATIONS OFFICER

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

  • A National Diploma or Degree (NQF Level 6) in Labour Relations, Human Resource Management, Employment Relations, or an equivalent field
  • At least two (2) years of relevant experience in Labour Relations or Human Resources
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Possessing a PERSAL certificate will be advantageous
     

Knowledge Base:

  • In-depth understanding of the Labour Relations Act and relevant Public Service HR policies
  • Familiarity with implementation of PSCBC and GPSSBC resolutions
  • Understanding of grievance, dispute, and misconduct resolution procedures
  • Knowledge of the bargaining process and labour law statutes
  • Awareness of International Labour Organization (ILO) frameworks
  • Working knowledge of the TVET/CET environment and post-school education and training (PSET) system
     

Key Skills Required:

  • Supervise grievance handling, dispute resolution, and disciplinary processes
  • Lead initiatives related to misconduct investigations and collective bargaining
  • Represent the institution during litigation processes and ensure enforcement of outcomes
  • Maintain and monitor labour relations databases and systems, including PERSAL
  • Manage physical, financial, and human resources within the Labour Relations unit
